     Answers to Common Questions

What is a ghost?
A ghost is someone who’s physical body has died but their spirit hasn’t yet crossed to the light, which we call Heaven. Some call them earthbound spirits. By failing to cross into the light, they become “stuck” between two worlds. Ghosts can see the light at all times but refuse to go to it for various reasons (see below).

What are some signs that I might have a ghost?
Every ghost is different, which makes no list entirely complete. But here are some common signs of a ghost:
- Hearing unexplained footsteps or knocking during the night
- Objects disappearing then reappearing in other places (keys, glasses, remote, etc)
- Your alarm clock, stereo, or television turning on/off by itself
- Doors slamming by themselves
- Unexplained tapping sounds
- Quality light bulbs that repeatedly need replacing too soon
- Blinking light bulbs
- Feeling like somebody is sitting on the end of the bed
- Unmistakable smell without an identifiable source
- Feeling as though you are being watched in certain rooms
- Unexplained cold spots
- A reasonably priced home that inexplicably won't sell
- Seeing something out of the corner of your eye but nothing there when you look directly at it

Why doesn’t a ghost cross into the light?
There are many reasons why a ghost might not cross into the light. Some are afraid of who they’ll meet there (like an abusive parent). Others don’t want to leave the home they loved and tended to for so many years. And some feel strongly it wasn’t their time to go and simply refuse to cross out of pure stubborness. And there are the few who are afraid to cross over for fear they’ll be sent to hell for their sins.

What is a “ghost mover?”
A ghost mover is a psychic medium who has the ability to communicate with ghosts and help them cross over into Heaven by convincing them to go into the light.

What is the difference between a Ghost Hunter and a Ghost Mover?
A ghost hunter is usually a group of like-minded individuals who have a common goal of proving via scientific evidence that ghosts really do exist. They often use expensive and pretty cool equipment to help them in their quest. Ghost movers have a goal of actually ridding your residence of the ghost, not just documenting their existence.

What if the ghost doesn’t leave?

Just like us, ghosts have free will. On occasion they will refuse to cross into the light. While we’ll do everything in our power to convince them to cross, if they simply won’t go then you still have the right to have your home all to yourself and we’ll do what we can to make sure that happens.

But isn’t psychic stuff evil?
Although some modern day religions would have you believe such, we disagree. All of us at Ghost Movers are Christians with a strong belief in God and Lynda Cheldelin Fell is an ordained minister. Moving stuck souls into Heaven is not evil. Bringing peace to frightened people and peace to stuck souls is doing God’s work. Being a psychic medium is not evil either as we were born with these gifts. Regardless of one’s beliefs, helping others is never evil.

But my house isn’t very old!
Ghosts don’t care. We have seen ghosts in modest 30 year-old homes and fancy 10 year-old homes. There is no spiritual law that says ghosts have to reside in 100+ year-old homes. Although ghosts tend to be creatures of habit, they can and do move. We’ve seen a child ghost follow home a young girl simply because she liked that young girl’s energy. Sometimes a ghost attaches themselves to somebody with whom they share something in common. Illegal drug users and alcoholics also attract ghosts who were addicts before they died.

Why do addicts attract ghosts?

Addictions not only alter one's mind, it also alters one's aura and makes an addict highly vulnerable to ghosts who suffered an addiction while alive.  These types of ghosts will often seek out people suffering from the same addiction and actually use that person’s body to feel “high.” If a loved one is having a difficult time staying sober despite good treatment, we encourage you to consider the possibility you have a ghost.

Does this mean that people really don’t die?
Exactly. Your physical body dies but your spirit lives on.  A few seconds before one's physical body dies, the spirit leaves the body and makes the transition into Heaven where they can continue their spiritual journey.  When a spirit doesn't want to leave this dimension they become "stuck" between the two dimensions and then are termed a "ghost."

Spirit Guides:
Spirit Guides are wonderful helpers who come to your assistance when asked. Although most people can’t see or hear them, spirit guides interact with us daily.  For example, they enjoy inspiring you when you feel creative, and often are the “hunch” you acted on which proved to be beneficial.  They are always there for us and are happy to help.
